"Seawall Enhancement Features in Residential Canals, Tampa Bay, Florida.
Featuring Lo-pro and Oyster sized Reef Balls. We hope to have this report
scanned and on the net in the next week or so.
3) Reef Ball Rocks, (A division of RBDG) filed its formal application for
an aquaculture site in Manatee and Sarasota Counties yesterday. Reef Ball
rocks also completed construction of it's multi-habitat grow out aquarium
which features the interconnected environments of the offshore reef, the
bay/estuary reefs, seagrass beds and mangrove reefs. The purpose of the
system is to create an environment which closely simulates natural
conditions for experimentation, culturing and asexual reproduction of
members of the fouling community for possible transplanting onto
artificial reefs.
4) Reef Ball research teams are working on the development of a new,
semi-porous concrete designed to mimic the base of live rock created by
non-geological dead coral skeletons.
