Message #95 Here's what's currently happening with the Reef Ball Group: 1) A new affiliate company, Eternal Reefs, has just been launched. From their press release: ************************** ETERNAL REEFS - The Alternative Cremation Memorial Option Eternal Reefs create "Permanent Living Memorials" by integrating cremated remains into artificial reefs (base structures for fish & other sea life) that are placed in the world's oceans. Eternal Reefs offers an alternative cremation memorial option that proves both a spiritual and ecologically positive final resting-place. The creation of an Eternal Reef can be arranged at fine funeral homes and cemeteries as a complete or complementary option to urns and scattering. ************************** If you would like their contact information, please send an e-mail to reefball@america.net 2) We have a crew currently in Dominica managing the Reef Ball Coalition's pilot project for creating ecotourism destinations. The concept is to have corporations and families go on trips to exotic locations and build Reef Balls to learn about reef ecology, give something back to the environment, and as a team building exercise. 3) Casting of Reef Balls has begun in Hong Kong. 4) The Reef Ball Website has been under heavy revision to make it easier to use, navigate, and download.
