Messabe #135 1) Reef Ball companies are sending a letter of support to Alex Water’s Mandarin High School Reef Ball Project for an application for a $10,000 grant from Sea World for Environmental Excellence Awards. Mandarin High School's Reef Ball Project is applying for the category Planet Ocean Award. If you would like to send a letter of support please e-mail it to Alex at awaters@mediaone.net 2) Reef Ball presentations will be given at the following Dive Clubs over the next few months -The New England Aquarium Dive Club in Boston, MA -Central Florida Pleasure Divers -Diving Club of PORTUGAL composed of Engineering students Instituto Superior Tecnico. -Rum Runner Dive Shop Dive Club -CCA Georgia -Merrimack Valley dive club, MA -Redwood Empire Divers, CA -The Atlanta Reef Dwellers Scuba Club -Border City Divers, Ft. Smith Chapter of HammerHeads -Buckeye Divers dive club located in Columbus OH -Jacksonville Reef Research Team meeting -Rose City Dive Club Meeting (recently given) 3) Reef Ball will be meeting in Feb. or March with a new potential partner in Argentina who is a Professor and Researcher of a National University in the Department of Marine Sciences and also works in consultant activities related with the aquatic environment.
