Five students from John Carroll High School in Fort Pierce took first place in the recent state Envirothon competition and will represent Florida in an international contest this summer.

Andrew Irizarry, Suzie Irizarry, Amber Enns, Tommy Kiger and Kyle Collins competed in Ocala against 29 teams from Florida. The students travel to Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, July 23-29 to face off against 55 teams from the United States and Canada.

Fifth grade begins a reef ball project April 19.... Marilyn Kesselman's and Phyllis Foley's classes attend the Lyric Theatre April 19.... First Presbyterian Church preschool visits for kindergarten orientation April 21.
